    Bee Stings & Killer Bees! (14:27)

    mild burns heal faster with honey, bee stings, allergies, multiple bee stings can cause shock, Elizabeth Capaldi Evans, a stinging bee release an alarm pheromone, bees are not aggressive, they usually sting near a hive, they lose their stinger and die when the sting a human, they are attracted to the human face and ears, they cue to the carbon dioxide that we exhale, some beekeepers can build up a tolerance to the venom, muscles in the abdomen thrust the stinger into its target, they sting if there is a disturbance or apparent danger to the nest, killer bees, they are Africanized honey bees, Brazil, hybrid bees, they spread North at a rate of a mile a day, they have been seen as far south as Argentina, in June 2005 they were found in southwest Arkansas, 2007 in New Orleans, there are also sting less bees, most are mild mannered, some of them bite when threatened, they fight viciously over food, some excrete acidic saliva, another species enters the eyes ears or nose and buzzes loudly, Cyprian honey bees, they breathe through holes in the exoskeleton, Japanese honey bee, they group together and use a thermal strategy to burn invasive hornets to death,
