Mic-ology is a podcast about mushrooms—those spore-tossing life forms that turn up everywhere. Fungi are in the food we eat, the medicines we take, the air we breathe, and the dirt below our feet. There is no escaping them. Adam Warner talks with mycologists, chefs, health advocates, engineers, farmers, business owners, and others to understand what fungi are and where they’re capable of taking us. From mushroom ice cream to mushroom houses, Mic-ology digs deeper into the world of fungi.

Adam Warner is a radio reporter and recent alum of the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism’s health and science program. His favorite stories to work on are about plants, fungi, and animals—and the people whose lives are affected by them. Some of these stories have appeared on the radio stations WAMU 88.5, WHCR 90.3, and WGXC 90.7. He’s also a poet and sound archivist. In 2011, he graduated from the Pratt Institute of Art, majoring in creative writing.
