Food has emerged as a critical policy area at every level of government – and it raises big questions about health, labor, sustainability and our future. Eating Matters is dedicated to talking about the food policy issues that shape our everyday experiences of growing, buying, cooking and eating food. Join host Kim Kessler weekly for news analysis and conversations with food policy experts, leaders, writers and advocates.
Kim Kessler is the Policy and Special Programs Director of the Resnick Program for Food Law and Policy at UCLA School of Law. Previously, Kim served as the Food Policy Coordinator for the City of New York in the Bloomberg Administration. In this role, she worked on municipal food policies and initiatives, ranging from improving access to nutritious foods to urban agriculture to healthy food procurement. She is passionate about connecting people with each other and ideas, and finding good recipes with 5 ingredients or less.
